GeneralAuckland Castle, Auckland Tower and the Faith Museum in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, have been named as winner of the Royal Institute of British Architects [RIBA] North East Building of the Year Award 2024.
Auckland Castle, Auckland Tower and the Faith Museum in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, have been named as winner of the Royal Institute of British Architects [RIBA] North East Building of the Year Award 2024. They were also named amongst the best new buildings in the 2024 RIBA National Awards.
The RIBA’s awards program recognizes the UK’s best new architecture, and 26 winners were selected for 2024, including the Auckland project. These 3 structures form the masterplan that was the winning joint entry between Purcell and Niall McLaughlin.
